The best materials for your child

When it comes to our little ones, we want the best for them. With that in mind and our overall Montessori-inspired approach, we value the benefits of solid pine and birch wood – we use these two kinds of wood for all of our beds and other house-shaped products. Our plain wood products are coated in beeswax and left unpainted. When we do use paint, it's an ecological water-based VOC-free children's furniture paint.

For other toys and furniture, we use Baltic birch plywood as it's very durable and strong. It can withstand the wear and tear that often comes with children using furniture. This is especially important for pieces that kids are likely to climb on. Our plywood has a light, uniform color, and smooth grain pattern.
